Williamson, West Virginia
Starting in 2018, GPSA students will be working in West Virginia. This beautiful coal-mining town in Appalachia will be an exciting and intriguing new addition for GPSA.
For their clinical service, students will be divided into teams led by trained college students (including premeds from Duke and Johns Hopkins), faculty or leaders-in-training. On any day, a participant might facilitate health screenings in homes or in a clinic or conduct community health classes on hygiene or nutritional education.
